I played lots of rugby and football, and trained in a handful of different martial arts – Judo and Tae Kwon Do as a child and Ju-Jitsu in my teens. They all had interesting and valuable elements, but once I discovered Fujian White Crane Kung Fu, I never looked back.
I have trained regularly since November 1999. Fujian White Crane has such depth and power that it takes years to assimilate the secrets and complexities of the style and make them one?s own. I am proud to be part of this ancient style and it?s heritage under Master Ngo. It?s been hard work (and fun!) getting this far but there really aren?t any shortcuts. The style is as much a mental challenge as it is physical, and it becomes part of who you are.
I have been a commodities broker in the city for twelve years have competed in kung fu tournaments several times winning gold and silver medals. My training comes through every day in small ways: correct attitude, strength of character, flexibility, speed and adaptability, perseverance, creativity, humour; all these qualities are cultivated in various ways through training and it keeps me young, fit and sharp! Today I am stronger than ever in all areas of my life (talk about realizing your potential!), and I invite you to experience the benefits of training for yourself.
Come and train with me; my students are friendly and supportive, you?ll learn a great deal and see what it is to push the boundaries of what you thought was possible (i never thought i could do THAT!). You?ll always leave class feeling glad you made the effort, and richer for it.
In our style, the learning never stops;
Kung Fu is training for life.
