Kung Fu has given me a passion. When I started Kung Fu I wanted to get fit again and I was fascinated with the East - I had lived in Southeast Asia for two years, and trained as a reflexologist. I got more involved with Kung Fu because of the continuous challenge, I'm always learning and it inspires me. Though I can find it frustrating at times this makes it all the more rewarding when things work and it all becomes clear, even for a brief moment. I soon realised how much it meant to me when I found myself giving up other things to train more. I love how Kung Fu is a way of life and isn't just limited to classes - how I have become more conscious of my body and health. I also enjoy seeing how other people change with training. How Kung Fu improves your way of life, such as health, is important to me, especially since I have studied and now work in the area of health.
