About the class
This martial arts class is for the absolute beginner. The class is designed to build the new martial artist slowly and safely. The foundations of kung fu and body movements will become ingrained in the practitioner helping the body to last well into old age. The class will cover flexibility, balance, postural training, core stability and co-ordination for optimum performance and a firmer body. You do not have to be fit, strong or flexible when you begin. You will be guided to progress at a rate appropriate to your present state of health and fitness.

Directions
The hall is just of West-End Lane. The entrance is the Montessori School on the side of the Church on Sheriff Road. From West Hampstead tube station (Jubilee line): come out of the tube and turn left. It is a 1 min walk on the right hand side. From West Hampstead sliver link (North London Line): come out of this station and turn right. The hall is a 1min walk to the right. Classes are a min walk from Kilburn High Road and 5min walk from Finchley Road. Classes support areas with an NW postcode.
What am I going to learn?
You will learn the principles of the White Crane (Bai He) martial arts. This includes stance and postural training, kicking, striking, blocking, foot work and moving in style. Close quarter and long range fighting are addressed in class. You will be taught the principles of Chinese medicine which can be applied to enhance your well being and Kung Fu. You will discover that FWC is a complete system and you will not need any other style of martial art, gym or exercise class to achieve all your mind and body needs.
So can anyone join in?
Yes, anyone can join in! Complete beginners are always welcome. The class is for adults who want to wake up every morning buzzing with energy and glowing with health; those who want to be strong, stand tall, stay motivated in their work place and be a cut above the rest. The classes are for adults of any gender and size; anyone who wants a healthier lifestyle. Classes are very suitable and appropriate for women. If you have any injuries or anything else which may affect your training, it is important to discuss this with your instructor at the beginning of the class so that we can discuss the best way to work with any relevant issues. It is always possible to adapt exercises to suit individual needs.
