About the class

An excellent stress free workout to better health, strength, balance and self-defence. You will practice slowly in flowing movements which are enhanced with breathing techniques. Suang Yang is a soft moving style Qi Gong (energy work), an excellent yin balance to the more yang exercise of kung fu. It is a Martial art, a health exercise and a form of moving mediation. Classes are an easy way to handle everyday stress. A relaxing way to enhance energy, stay looking and feeling young. It is most suitable for women.

The hall entrance is the Learning Tree entrance on Quex Road behind the bus stop. The bus service to Kilburn High Road is 16, 98, 189, 32, 139, 328, and 31. Tube services are Kilburn Park (Bakerloo line) and Kilburn (Jubilee line). Rail service is Brondsbury (Silver link) located on the Kilburn High road, service taken from Euston



What am I going to learn?

Suang Yang (Tai Chi) class will focus on the form, a sequence of 66 moves. You will learn posture, body balancing and alignment. The aim is to create a physical structure through which you energy can flow freely and easily. Emphasis will be on strong flexible legs and correct breathing. Once obtained you will be taught to move and build your energy until you are buzzing with energy and glowing with health, strong essence (Jing) and the determination to succeed. You will over time be taught the fundamentals of Chinese medicated diet to enhance you Tai Chi practise and become an unstoppable force in the work place. You will also improve your presence, strength of character and your ability to handle obstacles. Martial application will be taught at a later stage when a large portion of the form is learnt. Pushing hands are also covered in class.

So can anyone join in?

Yes anyone can join! Classes are for those who want to fine tune themselves and align themselves to their desires and wants. Complete beginners are welcome. The classes are for adults of any gender and size. Classes are very suitable for women. If you have any injuries, or anything else, which may affect your training, it is important to discuss this with the instructor at the beginning of the class. It is always possible to drop certain exercises and movements out of your training to you?re your individual needs.
